Military Childcare Frequently Asked Questions

We do not write policies in Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, or West Virginia. We also do not write on any foreign military bases.

-You apply by going to the website www.assurechildcare.comwww.assurechildcare.com and clicking on ‘Apply Now’

-Enter your state, and select ‘Military – Wilcock Insurance Group’, click on the green button, this will take you to the military childcare application.

-Once your application is approved, you will receive an email from Assure that has a link to your portal where you can make payments and changes to your policy.

Policies must be purchased at least one day before the effective date is needed. They can be bought up to 60 days in advance. Start dates cannot be backdated.

-Liability limits- each branch of the military requires certain liability limits.

The two main limits that we know are required are $500,000/ $1,000,000 or
$1,000,000/$3,000,000. If your branch of the military requires a $1,000,000 liability limit,
your insured will want to select the $1,000,000/$3,000,000 limit

-Daycare license capacity
-Daycare license effective and expiration date.

This is an annual policy only.
The premium will vary by state and the insurance rates set by that state. You may pay in full or make 1 down payment followed by 7 monthly payments that will start 30 days after the purchase date.

Membership is required as part of the policy.

Some of the benefits of the membership include:
1- Provides extra coverage (accidental death and dismemberment).
2- Keeps the actual premium low.
3- Gives to community partner associations, if you belong to them. (The associations are listed on the application page of the new policy).

*NONE of the membership fees comes to Wilcock or Hays it all goes to the carrier, Assure/Philadelphia Insurance.

-If you move to another house but remain licensed with the same military base and director, you can email Assure Child Care at: info@assurechildcare.com with your new address and coverage will remain the same.

-If you move out of state and get licensed at a different base, you will need to cancel your current policy and re-apply for a new one, following the same steps you did as a brand new applicant.

You may cancel the policy within the policy period, and you will receive a refund for payments made for the canceled portion of the policy. A signed cancellation form will need to be submitted. Please email us at: wilcockinsurance@gmail.com for the cancellation form and include the cancellation date. We will also need to know your forwarding address for any refunds. Cancellations cannot be backdated.
To add an additional insured, you must complete the application and once approved and payment is made, you can go back into the policy and add the additional insured. There is no added cost to add an additional insured.
